New User Access Policy for COVID-19 Related Projects

The Stanford-SLAC CryoEM facilities are open to user projects that are related to COVID-19 research. Proposals may be submitted as service projects for high resolution imaging of vitrified single particles through the Stanford-SLAC Cryo-EM Center (S2C2), which is one of the three NIH National Centers under the support of National Institutes of Health Common Fund Transformative High Resolution Cryo-Electron Microscopy program. See Project Application. Registration and proposal submission are facilitated through our user portal, as are similar applications for COVID-19 related research on select structural molecular biology X-ray beamlines at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL). COVID-19 related proposals will be reviewed expeditiously. For questions regarding the application process, please contact Lisa Dunn (
